Kayode Akintemi, Managing Director & Editor-in-Chief
Kayode Akintemi is a veteran Media Personality, Broadcast Journalist, TV Presenter, ICT Consultant and Senior Media Executive. With about 40 years of experience in broadcast journalism and consulting for publicand private media corporations, Kayode is an award-winning journalist who has inspired numerous journalists of the younger generation. Previously, he served as the ICT and Project Management Consultant to the London Borough of Hillingdon, and held leadership of several television stations.
With a career spanning over 4 decades in Nigeria, Africa and Europe, Mr Akintemi is regarded as one of the most influential media personalities in Africa.
Akintemi is a member of several professional organisations, including the Royal Television Society (RTS), the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Radio Academy. He is also a member of the Society of Information Tech and Management (SOCITM) UK and a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD).
In December 2023, Kayode Akintemi was announced as the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of News Central Television. In this role, he continues to expand the frontiers of Nigerian journalism through a renewed focus on investigative and development journalism.
Rosemary Egabor-Afolahan, Director of Commercial & Communications
Bringing extensive experience in marketing and strategic communications, Rosemary Egabor Afolahan is the Director of Commercial and Communications at News Central. Rosemary’s expertise across various industries such as Banking, Marketing Communications, Digital Media and the Oil & Gas sector has been pivotal in elevating News Central TV’s marketing efforts, strengthening brand recognition, and crafting effective communication strategies.
She is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to grow the business from News strategy to programmes, brand and communications, and overall corporate strategy. She came into News Central as the head of business development, market strategy, and sales, and now leads the commercial and communications directorate.
Rosemary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Covenant University, Ota and a Master of Science degree in Media and Communications from Pan Atlantic University, Lagos. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), both in the United Kingdom.
Louis Eke, Director of News and Current Affairs
With over two decades of experience in news broadcasting, Louis is the Director of News Production. His career has been marked by his dedication to journalistic integrity and his innovative approach to news storytelling. He oversees all aspects of news production, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and compelling content to our viewers.
Louis holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Literature in English from the University of Lagos. He started his career in Journalism in 1999 as a trainee Reporter and later Sub-editor with The Guardian (Nigeria) newspapers, rising to the position of Assistant Production and later News Editor of the Sunday edition of the publication. In 2009, he joined NEXT Newspapers where he held various positions as Standards Editor, Metro Editor and Nation Editor. In 2011, he joined Channels Television as News Editor, rising to positions of Senior News Editor, Assistant Controller News and Controller News.
Donald Saola, Director of Technology
Donald is an innovator in media technology and operations. He is a seasoned C-Suite Level Telecommunications and Media Broadcast professional. As the Director of Technology, Donald drives technological advancements and enhances News Central’s broadcasting capabilities. His forward-looking approach contributes to News Central TV’s progress in media technology.
Bringing over 15 years of expertise in IT management, software development, and digital transformation. Renowned for his strategic vision and innovative solutions, Donald has successfully led multiple technology initiatives that enhanced digital capabilities and operational efficiency across Eastern and Sub-Saharan Africa. His leadership in integrating cutting-edge technologies has positioned News Central at the forefront of the media industry. Donald is committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, ensuring the organisation's technological infrastructure supports its mission of delivering timely and impactful news to a global audience.
He obtained his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kenya.
Kathleen Ndongmo, Head - Digital
Kathleen is a seasoned communications and public affairs strategist with over 25 years of leadership experience across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. With a strong background in journalism, corporate communications, and digital media management, she has led impactful campaigns and strategies in both corporate and development sectors. She currently leads the digital team at News Central TV, where she oversees end-to-end digital content strategy, multiplatform engagement, and revenue-focused digital transformation.
Kathleen brings a deep understanding of content creation, digital governance, public engagement, and media intelligence, with hands-on expertise in designing and implementing high-impact digital campaigns. Her extensive experience includes managing multi-stakeholder projects with government and multi-sector private organisations.
Her work spans corporate brand development, digital ecosystem building, SEO and analytics, and issue-based advocacy. She has consulted for private equity, fintech, and nonprofit organisations across Nigeria, Cameroon, Kenya, the US, and the UAE—delivering strategy, public relations, crisis communication, and team development services. Notably, she led content and digital news transformation at News Central TV from inception.
A multilingual communicator fluent in English and French, Kathleen is also an internationally published researcher and policy contributor on communications, digital rights, democracy, and online freedom in Africa. She is a postgraduate alumnus of the Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom and a graduate alumnus of the University of Buea in Cameroon.
Tolulope Adeleru-Balogun, Director of Programs
Tolulope Adeleru-Balogun is a seasoned broadcaster and CNN Journalism fellow. With close to 20 years of experience in Radio and TV broadcasting, Tolulope is a household name and the host of News Central’s flagship show, Jasiri, known for bold conversations.
With her understanding of media trends and storytelling, she has successfully managed high-profile programs and spearheaded innovative projects. Her expertise in broadcast journalism, combined with her leadership skills, ensures the delivery of high-quality news and entertainment to diverse audiences. She is committed to maintaining journalistic integrity while adapting to the ever-evolving media landscape. Tolulope holds a bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from Bowen University, Nigeria.

Omolara Ayo-Tobun, Director, Corporate Services
Omolara has about two decades of extensive multi-sectoral experience, performing admirably in Legal and Corporate Services roles.
She joined the News Central Team in 2018 as Head of Legal, Admin, Procurement and Facilities Liaison. Prior to this, her work experience already spanned diverse organisations like Stanbic IBTC, IHS Towers, Crossover Mortgage Bank, GWL Logistics and Wakanow.com Limited, where she pioneered innovative development strategies in the areas of contract management systems (CMS); amongst others
She holds an LLM in International Business & Commercial Law from the University of Manchester, UK and an LLB in Law from the University of Lagos. Nigeria. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, London, UK (ICSA UK).
