Amad Diallo Vows to Make History Despite Manchester United’s Struggles

Amad Diallo has set his sights on creating history with Manchester United, despite the club’s alarming slide in the Premier League under new manager Ruben Amorim.

United have lost five of their last ten games in all competitions since Amorim’s arrival from Sporting Lisbon to replace Erik ten Hag. Recent defeats to Wolves, Bournemouth, and Tottenham have left the team in 14th place, just eight points clear of the relegation zone, putting the manager under intense pressure ahead of Monday’s clash with Newcastle at Old Trafford.

However, 22-year-old Ivory Coast forward Diallo has been a rare bright spark in an otherwise disappointing season. His late winner in the Manchester derby and contributions of two goals and six assists in the league showcase his potential to shine during tough times.

Despite the challenges, Diallo remains focused on a brighter future. Speaking to MUTV, he said, “We are part of the project. We have so many young players at this club—Garna (Alejandro Garnacho), Kobbie (Mainoo), Joshua (Zirkzee), Rasmus (Hojlund), and me. We want to make history for this club.”

He continued, “We are determined to bring this club back to the level it was before. For us young lads, it’s about working hard, learning from the experienced players, and staying focused every game.”

Diallo praised Amorim for his willingness to work with young players and implement a fresh system. The forward has already demonstrated his versatility, playing as a right wing-back and in more advanced attacking roles under the new manager.

“In football, you must adapt,” Diallo said. “Sometimes you’re a defender, sometimes a striker. Wherever the manager needs me, I’m ready. Even if he asks me to play as a goalkeeper, I’ll fight for this team and my teammates.”

He added with determination, “I just want to play and give my all. My goal is to make history with this club.”

With United struggling for form and morale, Diallo’s optimism and adaptability could prove crucial as Amorim seeks to stabilize the team. Monday’s fixture against Newcastle presents an opportunity for United to begin climbing the table and rebuilding their confidence.
