The United States and Israel launched a new air assault on Iran’s southwestern petrochemical infrastructure late Tuesday.

According to Iranian state media, the Amir Kabir Petrochemical facility in Mahshahr was targeted by what local officials described as “American and Zionist enemies” at approximately 11:40 pm local time.

While the strike caused damage to specific units within the industrial complex, no casualties were reported from this latest raid.

The deputy governor of Khuzestan province, Valiollah Hayati, confirmed the assault but emphasised the lack of fatalities in this particular incident.

However, the region remains on high alert following a deadlier strike on the same Mahshahr site just days prior.

Local authorities noted that five individuals lost their lives during a similar attack on Saturday, highlighting the persistent and high-stakes nature of the ongoing conflict targeting Iran’s energy and economic corridors.

The Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company’s public relations department also acknowledged the strike, noting that the assault focused on the Mahshahr special economic zone.

As one of Iran’s vital industrial hubs, the area has become a recurring target for international forces aiming to disrupt the nation’s petrochemical output.

This latest engagement underscores the escalating military pressure on Iran’s domestic infrastructure as the broader regional crisis continues to unfold.
