The Gulf monarchies of Kuwait and Bahrain said on Wednesday that they had intercepted Iranian drones and other aerial attacks, as hostilities between Tehran and Washington intensified over the Strait of Hormuz.
Kuwait’s military said it intercepted attack drones, describing the incident as “nefarious Iranian aggression.”

Bahrain’s armed forces also said they successfully intercepted and destroyed several Iranian aerial attacks targeting the kingdom.
Earlier, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said it had sounded warning sirens and urged residents to remain calm and seek shelter at the nearest safe location.
The developments followed reports by Iranian state media that Tehran had launched separate attacks on US targets in Kuwait and on the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain in retaliation for American strikes on Iranian territory.
