Leavitt to Join Pro-Trump Group

Outgoing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has said she will join a pro-President Donald Trump political fundraising group after leaving her post at the end of August.

The 28-year-old will return to MAGA Inc., a pro-Trump “super PAC” that raises and spends money to influence United States elections.

Super PACs can collect unlimited contributions and spend the money on political activities, including advertising, as long as they do not coordinate directly with candidates or their campaigns.

Leavitt also told reporters that she plans to accompany Trump to a Republican convention in Dallas, Texas, in early September, ahead of the November midterm elections.

She previously worked with MAGA Inc. between 2022 and 2024 before joining Trump’s campaign.

Trump, asked about who could replace Leavitt as White House press secretary, joked Friday that he had “never had so many job applications in my life.”

Leavitt, the youngest person to serve as White House press secretary, announced on August 12 that she would step down to spend more time with her family.

She gave birth to her second child in early May.
