First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has said President Bola Tinubu will fulfil the “From Reform to Prosperity” pledge made in his Independence Day address if re-elected for a second term in 2027.

She spoke on Saturday at the North-Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network Grand Rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, according to a statement by her media aide, Busola Kukoyi.

APC members from across the zone attended, along with National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and governors from the region.

Tinubu referenced the President’s October 1 speech, titled “From Reforms to Prosperity,” saying the reform phase was giving way to economic recovery.

“Mr President is saying that they are going to reform the sector, but now is the time for prosperity, and we can see our economy is stabilising,” she said.

She cited a declining exchange rate and returning investors.

“Foreign exchange is going down, and investors are coming back to Nigeria,” she said.

She also praised governors in the zone for infrastructure development, saying they were delivering “like no other time before.”

The First Lady said the administration had completed a food bank programme targeting children, pregnant women and nursing mothers.

“This is to ensure that they can have more nutritious food, and also the children that are malnourished can get treatment and also get food to grow healthy,” she said.

She added that students were receiving adequate funding.

Describing her husband as a bold leader, she said he would not avoid difficult decisions.

“He is a leader who can be trusted to lead us into prosperity,” she said.

She said a second term would deliver “a stronger economy, safer communities and a greater Nigeria.”

She urged party members to campaign for the APC at all levels.

“Vote for continuity, vote for capacity, vote for prosperity, vote for the re-election of Mr President and all the candidates of the APC from top to bottom,” she said.

The presidential election is scheduled for January 16, 2027.
