Davido Shares Emotional Tribute to Late Son Ifeanyi

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has shared an emotional tribute to his late son, Ifeanyi, on what would have been the boy’s seventh birthday.

“LLI 🕊️ Happy birthday son …. Me and mommy miss and love you! Keep flying high ❤️,” the singer, whose real name is David Adedeji Adeleke, wrote on X on Tuesday at about 5:14 p.m. local time, referring to himself and the boy’s mother, Chioma Rowland Adeleke.

The state police confirmed the cause of death following an autopsy.

Davido and Chioma, who later married, have previously marked dates linked to their late son. The couple also share twins born in 2023.

The tribute comes four years after the toddler’s death, which prompted widespread public mourning in Nigeria.
