Governor of Bauchi State Nigeria Appoints New Chief of Staff

Governor of Bauchi State, Nigeria. Gov Bala Mohammed, has appointed Dr. Aminu Gamawa as his new Chief of Staff.

Dr. Aminu Gamawa is the immediate past Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning.

Last week, Governor Mohammed dissolved his cabinet including the Secretary to the State Government, Sabi’u Baba; his Chief of Staff, Dr. Ladan Salihu; 21 Commissioners, and his Special Advisers.

He, however, retained his Special Advisers on Security, National and State Assembly Liaison, Social Investment, and Media and Publicity.

The Special Adviser of Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado disclosed his appointment through a media statement signed and made available to journalists in the early hours of Monday.

The appointment takes immediate effect.

Gamawa hails from Gamawa Local Government Area of Bauchi State. He is a legal practitioner, teacher, policy expert and public servant who has worked across a wide range of organisations, government agencies, educational institutions and non-profitable entities.

He was the Coordinator of Harvard Law School Graduate Forum (2011-2014) and a teaching fellow and until his recent appointment, was the immediate past Hon. Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Bauchi State.
