Cairo University Named Best Medical Faculty in Africa

Cairo University’s Faculty of Medicine has emerged as the leading medical school in both Egypt and Africa, according to a recent international ranking. The institution has earned top placements in more than ten medical disciplines, including pharmacology, public health, dermatology, gastroenterology, anaesthesiology, surgery, ophthalmology, and nuclear medicine.

The ranking highlights the faculty’s global standing as well, with several disciplines placing among the top 100 to 150 universities worldwide. Notably, Cairo University was ranked 78th globally in toxicology, 112th in urology, and 116th in plastic surgery. In total, over 20 disciplines at the faculty have secured top positions nationally and consistently high standings continent-wide.
