President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Katsina State on a two-day official visit aimed at assessing the security situation and commissioning key development projects.
The Presidency confirmed that the President departed Abuja on Friday for Katsina, where he is scheduled to hold a stakeholders’ meeting focused on the state’s persistent security challenges. Katsina, the home state of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has been grappling with frequent incidents of banditry and kidnapping, which have disrupted lives and livelihoods in several communities.
During his stay, President Tinubu is expected to commission the newly completed Katsina Agricultural Mechanised Centre, a strategic facility aimed at improving food production and modernising farming practices in the state.
He will also inaugurate a 24-kilometre dual carriageway constructed under the administration of Governor Dikko Umar Radda, further highlighting the federal government’s support for infrastructural development.
In addition to official engagements, the President is expected to attend the wedding ceremony of the governor’s daughter, following an invitation from the Radda family.
A number of dignitaries, including the Governor of Kaduna State and other top government officials, joined the President for Friday prayers in Katsina, underscoring the significance of the visit.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja upon conclusion of the visit.
