Tinubu Approves Redeployment of Four Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment of four Permanent Secretaries as part of ongoing initiatives to bolster the operations of the Federal Civil Service and improve service delivery.

A statement on Tuesday by the Director of Information & Public Relations, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Eno Olotu, clarified that this action aligns with Tinubu’s reform agenda and aims to enhance operational efficiency and innovation across various ministries.

“This reassignment is part of continuous efforts to enhance operational efficiency, foster innovation, and strengthen service delivery across the Federal Civil Service,” the statement read.

She listed the affected Permanent Secretaries and their new assignments as follows: Dr. Mary Ogbe – moved from the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development to the Ministry of Regional Development.

Faruk Yabo has been transferred from the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy to the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.

Dr. Emeka Obi has left the Ministry of Budget and Economic Development to join the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, while Mr. Ogbodo Nnam has been reassigned from the Special Duties Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation to the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.

The Head of Service stressed that the redeployment is a routine administrative action intended to revitalise the civil service by assigning senior officials to key areas of demand and urged the Permanent Secretaries to apply their expertise in their newly assigned roles and ensure effective and smooth service delivery.

Walson-Jack reiterated the government’s commitment to developing a world-class civil service that upholds professionalism and promotes national advancement.
