Mbwana Samatta played the full 90 minutes and struck the post for Genk as they lost 3-2 away at Club Brugge in the Belgian league.

Defending Champions, Brugge kept alive their hopes of retaining their title as they came from a goal down in the first half to beat the leaders thanks to three goals in a 15-minute second-half spell.

With two rounds to play, Genk, who would have won the title with victory on Sunday, have 50 points to second-placed Brugges’s 47.

Genk, who last won the championship in 2011, pulled one back three minutes from time through Zinho Gano and then hit the woodwork through Tanzania captain Samatta in stoppage time.

Both clubs play again on Thursday, with Genk away at Anderlecht and Brugge travelling to Standard Liege.
