14 Worshippers Abducted In Kaduna Mosque Attack 

An attack on a mosque in the Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State has left fourteen people abducted. 

The attack took place in a mosque during the evening prayers (Ishai) according to Daily Trust.

Reports also said that the gunmen tried to invade the village but were stopped by the local security group.

“They surrounded the mosque and abducted 14 people. They also carted away an unspecified number of cattle from Tudun Amada village, still in Giwa,” a resident of the community said.

“The gunmen divided themselves, while some were operating at the mosque, others moved from house to house thereby abducting more than ten women.

“Some of them were however busy carting away domestic animals such as cows, sheep and goats numbering hundreds, ” another resident also submitted.

The reports also said four of the people abducted have been released with the remaining ten still in captivity.

Kaduna State,North West Nigeria has dealt with terrorists kidnapping locals in exchange for ransom. The state had one of the highest number of abduction cases in 2021.
