2025 Ballon d’Or: Date, Venue, Awards Announced

The 69th edition of the Ballon d’Or, widely regarded as the highest individual honour in football—will be held on Monday, 22 September 2025, at the renowned Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

Now jointly organised by UEFA and Groupe Amaury—the parent company of France Football and L’Équipe—this landmark event continues to celebrate excellence in global football. Since its inception in 1956, the Ballon d’Or has stood as the sport’s most prestigious individual prize, recognising players who have delivered extraordinary performances and demonstrated exceptional skill throughout the season.

This year’s ceremony marks a significant expansion, with the inclusion of three new categories that honour the achievements of female players, reinforcing the event’s commitment to recognising excellence across both men’s and women’s football.
