The Director of Rail Transport at the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority, Olasunkanmi Okusaga, has announced that the Lagos State Government is in talks with the Ogun State Government to extend the Blue Rail Line to Agbara.
Okusaga expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the ongoing construction of the Blue Line Phase 2 project by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation.
The project awarded in 2023 is expected to be completed within three years and will cover areas such as Festac, Alakija, Trade Fair, Volkswagen, LASU, and Okokomaiko.
It will also involve the construction of three bridges in Maza Maza, Satellite Town, and LASU. In addition, discussions are underway for the construction of a depot in Okokomaiko.
