Shettima Arrives in Davos for 2025 World Economic Forum

Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Davos, Switzerland, to represent Nigeria at the World Economic Forum’s (2025) annual meeting.

He is accompanied by senior government officials, including Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, and Aisha Rimi, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission.

The World Economic Forum event brings together global leaders, business executives, and development partners to address economic concerns and promote long-term growth.

Vice President Shettima will engage in bilateral meetings and discussions to enhance Nigeria’s economic opportunities and address global risks.

Key events include a workshop on “Roadmap to Co-create Investment Opportunities for Africa’s Frontier Markets”, hosted by the African Development Bank, and the launch of the Humanitarian and Resilience Investing (HRI) Roadmap for Africa.

Additionally, he will co-chair a forum on “Turning Digital Trade into a Catalyst for Growth in Africa” at the Pischa Congress Centre, focusing on the AfCFTA Digital Trade Protocol.

Shettima is expected to return to Abuja after his engagements in Davos.
