LIV Golf renewed its contract with Adelaide until 2031 on Sunday, with new CEO Scott O’Neil describing the Australian tournament as “the embodiment” of everything the Saudi-backed league stands for.
The third edition of LIV is now taking place at Adelaide’s Grange Golf Course, with over 100,000 fans expected to pass through the gates over three days.
“This event is the embodiment of what LIV Golf represents: the biggest stars, the best courses, unmatched experiences, and of course, the best fans in the world,” O’Neil commented.
“LIV Golf Adelaide is our showcase and brings the vision for all our events across the globe to life.”

Adelaide has been crowned the World’s Best Golf Event for the last two years by the World Golf Awards.
As part of a new deal with the South Australian state government, the downtown North Adelaide Golf Course will be rebuilt to accommodate LIV competitions.
The design will be guided by Greg Norman of Australia, who was important in launching LIV Golf before being replaced by O’Neil last month.
“I’ve dreamed of building a global golf league for 30 years,” said Norman, a divisive figure in the feud between the established PGA Tour and LIV Golf, owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
“I’m honoured to design a world-class course that will benefit current and future generations here in Australia,” he said of LIV Golf Adelaide, which represents the company’s global potential.
The LIV Tour’s 14-stop 2025 season began last week in Riyadh and will continue to Hong Kong after Adelaide.
