Trump Seeks End to Deportation Ban at Supreme Court

On Friday, US President Donald Trump requested the Supreme Court to overturn a 1798 Alien Enemies Act ban on deportations, which he has applied to suspected gang members.

The swift deportations must be stopped, according to a lower court, after Trump used the obscure wartime statute to fly suspected members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua to a prison in El Salvador.
