A video recovered from the phone of a slain aid worker killed in Gaza, along with several other rescuers, shows their final moments, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

The video, which shows marked ambulances with flashing emergency lights amidst heavy gunfire, contradicts claims by the Israeli military that its forces did not target ambulances.

The video, lasting six minutes and 42 seconds, was filmed from inside a moving vehicle and captures the sound of constant automatic gunfire.

It shows red fire trucks and ambulances driving through the night, stopping beside another vehicle, where two uniformed men exit before intense gunfire erupts. The video concludes with the screen going black.

Video Captures Final Moments of Gaza Aid Workers Killed by Israeli Forces

The Israeli military had previously stated that it fired on “suspicious” vehicles with no clearance and their lights off.

However, the PRCS has refuted this, stating that the video exposes the truth and debunks the Israeli narrative.

The attack killed 15 humanitarian workers, including eight PRCS staff members, six members of the Gaza Civil Defence, and one UNRWA employee.

The workers were buried in a mass grave near Rafah, and according to the UN, the first team was targeted at dawn, with subsequent aid teams being struck.

In the video, a medic is heard reciting the shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, in the face of imminent death.

The deaths of the aid workers have sparked widespread international condemnation, with UN officials calling for an investigation into potential war crimes.
