BBC Throw Down Nadiya Hussain’s Show

Nadiya Hussain, Previous winner of Great British Bake Off reveals that BBC no longer wants to air her cooking show because she doesn’t fit the corporation’s “very neat box”.

Ever since she won the competition in 2025, she has become a match/ feature on the broadcaster’s agenda, however this year it was discovered that BBC is no longer interested in her show

During a podcast show on We Need to Talk, she added that she doesn’t know why her show wasn’t recommissioned. “To be fair, I’m not comfortable in boxes anyway, but I suppose there’s no space for me and I’m kind of alright with that” she said

One of the chefs in Hussain Food Adventure says that she sees no reason why Nadiya’s show was thrown down and she hasn’t been given reasons to that, as her show has captured steadily solid audience records for the presenters.

During Nadiya’s statement, a representative for the broadcaster said: “After several wonderful series we have made the difficult decision not to commission another cookery show with Nadiya Hussain at the moment.” And that she is still much valued in the BBC family.

Speaking on her involvements in an immigrant home, Nadiya posted on Instagram: “Gratitude became something that I was expected to wear like a uniform. Anytime I voiced frustration or sadness or wanted more, I could feel the invisible pressure.

Hussain hopes to now start from the scratch as she is more focused on being her most dependable self and working with people who believe her voice has a stand and believe in her talent.
