French forward Randal Kolo Muani has been ruled out of this month’s two World Cup qualifiers after fracturing his lower jaw during Saturday’s Premier League match for Tottenham against Manchester United.
The French Football Federation (FFF) confirmed that the 26-year-old striker, a key scorer for the national team, has been replaced in the squad by 32-year-old Florian Thauvin of Lens.
Thauvin, a World Cup winner, previously returned to the squad in October and scored against Azerbaijan.

Kolo Muani is the latest attacking loss for Coach Didier Deschamps, joining injured players Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue.
France need a victory against Ukraine on November 13 to secure qualification for the tournament in North America. Their final opportunity, if required, will be against Azerbaijan on November 16.
