The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 13 new cases of Mpox, bringing the country’s total to 993 as of January 25, 2026.
The update was posted on the GHS’s X page on Tuesday, February 3.
“Mpox update as of January 25, 2026. 13 new cases were recorded, bringing the total confirmed cases to 993,” the health service said.
The GHS reiterated that Mpox is primarily transmitted through close contact with infected people.

It can also be transmitted via contaminated materials, contact with infected animals, and from an infected mother to her baby during pregnancy or after birth.
The service urged people to maintain good hygiene and seek medical attention if symptoms appear.
“Protect yourself and others by maintaining good hygiene and reporting any symptoms such as fever, rash, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, and tiredness,” the GHS warned.
