The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the commencement of a nationwide digital membership registration exercise across all wards in Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, the party said the exercise will begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, and run for three weeks, covering the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The PDP explained that the initiative is aimed at compiling a comprehensive digital register of its members in line with provisions of the Electoral Act 2026, which mandates political parties to submit updated membership records to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to the party, registration will take place daily, except Sundays, at ward, chapter, and state offices nationwide, while special cases will be handled at the national secretariat.
A committee led by the National Organising Secretary, Theophilus Daka Shan, has been constituted to supervise the process and address any issues that may arise during the exercise.
The PDP urged its members and interested individuals to visit the nearest party office within their wards to participate in the registration.
