Production at Libya’s Sharara oilfield is expected to return to its standard operational capacity within the next 48 hours, according to field engineers on Sunday.

As one of Libya’s premier production hubs, the Sharara field maintains a substantial capacity of between 300,000 and 320,000 barrels per day.
The facility plays a critical role in the national economy, as it is directly linked to the Zawiya refinery located near Tripoli.
The return to normal output levels is anticipated to stabilise supply chains for the 120,000-barrel-per-day refinery and broader export markets.
