Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, is expected to visit Ekiti State on Tuesday for a one-day working engagement, which will include the inauguration of key projects.

The Special Adviser on Media to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Yinka Oyebode, confirmed this in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, noting that the state governor and top officials will receive the Vice President upon arrival at the Ekiti Agro Allied International Cargo Airport.

Oyebode said Shettima, who will be representing President Bola Tinubu, is scheduled to perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ekiti Knowledge Zone and commission the newly built Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission along Old Iyin Road in Ado-Ekiti.

“The Vice President will also inaugurate the newly constructed 1.2 kilometres Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Flyover, one of the legacy projects of the Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration at Okeyinmi, in Ado Ekiti,” Oyebode said.

The statement added that this will mark Shettima’s second official visit to the state, recalling that he visited in May 2024, where he inaugurated the Omisanjana-Deeper Life-Ajebandele Road and the MSME Clinic in Ado-Ekiti, among other engagements.

Oyebode noted that adequate arrangements had been concluded to ensure a successful and memorable visit.

He also said the administration remains committed to strategic collaboration with the Nigerian Government, other states, development partners, and the private sector to drive its development agenda.
