Expect Yemi Alade’s Fifth Studio Album This Friday

Nigerian Afrobeats star singer, Yemi Alade has released the tracklist and album cover for her fifth studio album.

The album is titled ‘‘Empress’’ and it drops this Friday, November 20 and going by its first single, ‘‘I Choose You’’, it sounds like an exciting body of work .

Yemi Alade took to her Instagram handle hours ago to share the cover which has a photo of her in a carnival styled headpiece.
The 15-track album holds features from Afrobeats stars like Patoranking, Rudeboy, Estelle, Vegedream, Mzansi Youth Choir, and Dadju who she featured on track 7 “I Choose You“.

On August 30, 2019, the talented musician released her last album which she titled “Woman of Steel”. Woman of Steel is her fourth studio album with the incoming one being the fifth.

Woman of Steel, the fourth studio album by Nigerian singer Yemi Alade It was released on August 30, 2019, through Effyzzie Music Group and Universal Music Africa, and was described by Alade as a “buffet with different kinds of meals and drinks”, the album represents a thematic and personal shift in her sound. Musically, it is an Afrobeats record that incorporates elements of R&B and highlife. Woman of Steel features collaborations with Rick Ross, Duncan Mighty, Angelique Kidjo and Funke Akindele. It was supported by the previously released singles “Home” and “Give Dem” Although critical reception to Woman of Steel was mixed, the album was considered to be Alade’s best album yet, at least till we await her 5th body of work.

2020 has been an amazing year for the queen of the dance hall. On 9 June 2020, Alade was mentioned to be among the forefront artists/musicians from across the world to perform at The Global Goal: Unite for our future sponsored by the Global Citizen aimed to deliver COVID-19 tests and treatments especially in the most remote places in Africa and across the world. On 27 June 2020, Yemi Alade performed in the Global Goal: Unite for Our future alongside Miley Cyrus, Shakira, J Balvin, Jennifer Hudson, Coldplay, Usher, Justin Bieber and Quavo, Christine and the Queens and Chloe X Halle.

And now she’s about to crown it all up with her fifth studio album.
