Algeria defeated World Cup debutants Jordan 2-1 in their Group J clash on Monday, eliminating the Asian side from the tournament.
Jordan opened the scoring through Nizar al-Rashdan before Amine Gouiri restored parity for Algeria. Nadhir Benbouali then scored the decisive goal in the 82nd minute in Santa Clara to seal the victory.

The result leaves Algeria needing a win against Austria in Kansas City on Saturday to secure a place in the knockout stage.
Austria, who lost 2-0 to Argentina earlier on Monday, remain on three points alongside Algeria, while Argentina lead Group J with six points.
Jordan will play Argentina in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday in their final match of the tournament.
