Nwogu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the Rivers South-East Senatorial District by-election with 7,961 votes, defeating Osar Erewari of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who secured 1,647 votes. He succeeds the late Senator Barry Mpigi, who died in February.

Halilu of the APC replaces the late Senator Godiya Akwashiki, who represented Nasarawa North until his death.

In Ondo South, APC candidate Faduyile polled 68,474 votes to defeat Adeolu Akinwunmi of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), who garnered 1,411 votes. He fills the vacancy created by the appointment of former Senator Jimoh Ibrahim as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

Asogwa won the Enugu North Senatorial District seat with 162,360 votes, defeating Nestor Ezeme of the PDP, who polled 9,299 votes. He succeeds the late Senator Okey Ezea, who died in November 2025.
