Australia have thrashed England by seven wickets to win the Women’s T20 World Cup final at Lord’s on Sunday.

The victory has given Australia a record-extending seventh T20 global title as they have chased down 151 with 17 balls to spare.

Australia women’s cricket team have been powered by Beth Mooney, who has scored 64, and Phoebe Litchfield, who has added 48.

The pair has built a match-winning second-wicket partnership of 100 runs to seal the win.

Australia have now won all seven of their World Cup finals against England across both ODI and T20 formats.

England have posted 150-4, thanks to Nat Sciver-Brunt’s unbeaten 58 and Freya Kemp’s 44 not out.

However, the total has proven insufficient against Australia’s strong batting line-up.

The hosts have remained competitive after a fighting partnership but have fallen short in the final.

Australia’s bowlers and fielders have delivered a disciplined performance to restrict England and set up the chase.

England have missed out on a first global title since their 2017 World Cup triumph at Lord’s.
