Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has thanked the people of the state for re-electing him, describing his victory as a renewed mandate to continue his administration’s work across the state.
In a post on X on Friday, Adeleke said he was humbled by the confidence voters placed in him and acknowledged support from different sections of the state.
“My dear people of Osun State, I am deeply humbled and grateful for the confidence you have reposed in me by re-electing me as your Governor,” he said.
The governor thanked traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, civil servants, pensioners, youths, women, artisans, traders and farmers, as well as other residents who participated in the election. He said their decision at the polls reflected support for continuity, adding that the victory belonged to the people of Osun rather than to him alone.
“This victory belongs to all of us, and I accept this renewed mandate with humility and a deep sense of responsibility,” Adeleke said.

His remarks come after he secured another term in office in the August 15 governorship election, defeating his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress.
While thanking supporters, Adeleke also paid tribute to people who lost their lives in electoral violence before the election and extended condolences to their families.
“As we celebrate, we also remember the victims of electoral violence before the election. My heartfelt condolences go to their families and loved ones,” he said.
The governor called on residents to set political differences aside after the election and work toward reconciliation and development across the state.
“Together, let us heal, unite and continue building a greater Osun,” Adeleke said.
