AU Appoints Ex-President Lungu as Head of Election Observer Mission to Kenya

Former President of Zambia Edgar Lungu has been chosen by the African Union as head of election observer mission in Kenya’s elections next year.

The Patriotic Front (PF) spokesperson, Raphael Nakacinda confirmed this in an interview, saying the party was optimistic that the ex-President would discharge his duties to the expectations of the citizens.

Nakacinda explained that away from the propaganda perpetuated by some “unpatriotic elements”, Lungu was highly respected on the continent.
