Ado Bayero Has Jurisdiction to be Heard, Court Rules

Justice Liman Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Kano State, Nigeria has declared that the dethroned Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero has jurisdiction to be heard.

Aminu Baba Dan Agundi, the kingmaker, filed a fundamental human rights case in the emirate tussle.

The development comes just days after a Kano State High Court imposed substituted service on Bayero and four other emirs in a case filed by the Kano State Government to prevent them from misrepresenting themselves as emirs.
