The Head of Corporate Communications at Nigerian airline Air Peace, Dr Ejike Ndiulo, has resigned from his position less than four months after his appointment.
His departure was confirmed in a statement on Sunday.
While Dr Ndiulo officially cited a “higher calling” as the reason for stepping down, industry sources suggest the move may be linked to mounting pressure on the airline’s communications team following a string of unfavourable media reports.
A respected communications strategist, Dr Ndiulo joined Air Peace earlier this year. Though his next role has not been publicly disclosed, sources indicate he may be transitioning to a senior position in a prominent organisation, likely outside of the aviation industry.
Dr Ndiulo holds a PhD in Strategic Marketing Management from Babcock University, an MSc in Marketing from the University of Lagos, and an MBA from Lagos State University. He also has a BSc in Agricultural Economics from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and professional certifications in external relations, reputation management, and emergency field training from institutions in Nigeria and the UK.
In his resignation letter, he thanked the airline for the opportunity to contribute to its growth, calling his tenure “a valuable phase” in his career.
“I wish to resign my appointment as Head of Corporate Communications at Air Peace Limited. My family and I are grateful for the wonderful opportunities for growth and development that I have had during my time at Air Peace,” he wrote.
Air Peace has yet to issue an official statement regarding his departure or announce a successor.
