Waheed Ayilara, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom, passed away Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja.
Family sources say that he had undergone prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday, only to pass away a few hours later.
