Alex Ekubo Becomes Chief and is advised to marry.

U.S based former Nigerian beauty queen and actress, Regina Askia has urged Alexx Ekubo to get married now that he is a chieftaincy title holder.


The popular Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo is now a red cap chief with the title Ikuku. The award winning actor made this known on his Instagram page where he put up a video of himself as he was being ordained as Ikuku by a high chief of Amumara town, Mbaise, Imo state Nigeria.


The event took place at the just concluded Iri-Ji (New Yam Festival) in the state. He was given the title by Eze Umara 3 of Amumara Town.
He captioned the post;
“Allow me to Re-introduce myself, I Alexx Ekubo of Arochukwu, Abia State have just been coronated IKUKU of Amumara Town, Mbaise. Imo State. At the just-concluded Iri-Ji (New Yam Festival).
“Coronation by Eze Umara 3 of Amumara Town, Mbaise kingdom. Imo State.”
“Special thanks to High Chief Nwachinemere 1 of Mbaise, @vintagedeluxeinteriors for welcoming me & honoring me in his home town among his kindred. Askia’s advice came after the actor was installed as Ikuku Of Amumara Town, in Mbaise, Imo State. In an Instagram post, the former beauty queen wrote;
“Congratulations. CHIEF ALEXX EKUBO!!???????????? You have done well. ????But a Chief must have a Lolo! My Son! Where is your Lolo?”

Alex responded with “she’s in the pipeline mum”.

Alexx Ekubo is a renowned actor in the Nigerian movie industry.
Alexx Ekubo is a Nigerian actor and model. He was first runner up at the 2010 Mr Nigeria contest. He won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in the Weekend Getaway. Ekubo’s film debut was a minor role in Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen’s Sinners in the House (2005); his first major role was in Ladies Men several years later.

Alexx is also a Lawyers. He studied Law at the University of Calabar.

Fashion designer @Yomicasual posted “Congratulations Chief IKUKU ???????????? but that one no mean say we no go yab you again oh ????” to which Alexx replied “if you yab a titled man, na cow you go bring o. For real.”
@Zubbymichaels wrote “Ikennna????”. @Ushebebecomedian teased him with a “No carry the maidens comot for Mbaise” post.

@Ebuka, popular Big brother Naija host posted “Congrats Nwanne, when we dey come chop kola?”.

A big Congratulations to Alexx and we hope the Lolo will be out of the pipeline soon.
