The All Blacks have announced that scrum-half Cameron Roigard will miss two upcoming Tests against Argentina after suffering a foot injury.
Roigard, who sustained a stress fracture during a recent series against France, will not be available for the matches in Cordoba on August 16 and Buenos Aires a week later.
His absence is a significant blow to the team and coach Scott Robertson, who will now have to navigate a worrying list of injuries ahead of the Rugby Championship.
Roigard’s availability for the home Tests against South Africa in September is also uncertain.

With fellow scrum-half Noah Hotham already sidelined with an ankle injury, the All Blacks have only Cortez Ratima available from the recent series.
This could force Robertson to recall veterans like Finlay Christie, whose last Test was over a year ago, or consider Folau Fakatava for the 36-man squad being announced on Monday.
The team’s injury list also includes prop Tyrel Lomax, winger Caleb Clarke, and back-rower Luke Jacobson, all of whom will miss the Argentina Tests.
On a more positive note, key players like captain Scott Barrett and playmaker Beauden Barrett are expected to be available, along with forwards Tupou Vaa’i, Wallace Sititi, and Tamaiti Williams.
