The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has been declared the winner of the Anambra State governorship election held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, by the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Edoba Omoregie.
Soludo received a total of 422,664 votes to beat his main competitor, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress, who got 99,445 votes. The third-placed candidate was Sir Paul Chukwuma of the Young Progressives Party, with 37,753 votes.
“Chukwuma Soludo of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, having scored 422,664 votes — the highest number of valid votes cast and having satisfied the requirements of the law — is hereby declared the winner and returned elected”. Omoregie announced.

According to INEC, 16 candidates from different political parties took part in the election with 2,788,864 registered voters. A total of 595,298 votes were recorded, and 11,244 votes were rejected in the 21 local government areas.
From the results, Soludo from APGA won in all 21 local government areas in a dominant victory.
