No fewer than 11 persons including a family of five have been abducted after armed bandits invaded Chikakore Estate in Kubwa, Abuja.
At around 1:00 am on Friday, security personnel assigned to the estate clashed with the assailants in a gunfire exchange, forcing the bandits to escape through the rail tracks with the captives into the mountains.
This incident is the latest in a series of kidnappings and other violent crimes that has dogged the country in recent years. The motive behind the attack is currently unclear.
