Arsenal Move Six Points Clear in Title Race

Arsenal solidified their position at the top of the Premier League table on Saturday with a 3-2 comeback victory over Bournemouth.

After a rare defensive lapse by Gabriel Magalhaes allowed Evanilson to open the scoring early, Gabriel redeemed himself with a quick equaliser.

The returning Declan Rice then took control of the match, netting twice in the second half to secure the win, despite a late scare from Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi. The victory puts Mikel Arteta’s side six points ahead of second-placed Aston Villa.

Following a heavy midweek loss, Aston Villa returned to form at Villa Park with a 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest.

Ollie Watkins and a brace from John McGinn extended Villa’s impressive home winning streak to 11 matches across all competitions.

While Unai Emery’s squad remains in the hunt for the top spot, Forest continues to struggle, sitting just four points above the relegation zone.

In a crucial clash for survival, Wolves secured their first league win of the season with a dominant 3-0 performance against West Ham.

Jhon Arias, Hwang Hee-chan, and Mateus Mane provided the goals, leaving Nuno Espirito Santo’s West Ham in a precarious position near the bottom of the table.

Elsewhere, Brighton ended their winless drought by defeating Burnley 2-0.
