Arteta Rejects Keane’s ‘Title Done’ Claim

Mikel Arteta has dismissed Roy Keane’s claim that Arsenal have already secured the Premier League title.

Arsenal currently lead Manchester City by five points as they prepare for Saturday’s 12:30 pm clash at Aston Villa. Despite a strong start, bolstered by a defence that has conceded only seven goals in 14 league games, Arteta refused to endorse Keane’s bold prediction.

Earlier this week, Keane told The Overlap: “The league is over. It’s over. The league is over.”

Responding to the remarks in an interview with Metro, Arteta said: “We know the reality. We play every three days against strong opposition, and winning any match is tough. We focus on being as good as we can each day and take it game by game.”

Asked about Aston Villa’s form and the challenges ahead, Arteta added: “Exactly. There are many factors—the schedule, home or away games, and the quality of opponents. We are still very early in the season, and every match will be demanding.”
