Aubameyang Set for Marseille Comeback

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is poised to make a return to Olympique de Marseille following a brief stint in Saudi Arabia, the French club confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old striker, who previously enjoyed a prolific season with Marseille in 2023/24, is expected to arrive in southern France on Wednesday evening. Aubameyang netted an impressive 30 goals across all competitions during his previous campaign at the Stade Vélodrome.

He joined Saudi side Al-Qadsiah last year after Marseille failed to secure European football, but has now terminated his contract with the Pro League outfit, paving the way for a return to Ligue 1.
