Super Eagles technical director, Augustine Eguavoen has been appointed Super Eagles interim coach.
This came following the departure of Portuguese tactician Jose Peseiro as Super Eagles coach.
Peseiro guided the three-time African champions to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The 58-year-old former Super Eagles coach will lead the three-time African champions on a temporary contract till the Nigeria Football Federation appoints a permanent new for the team.
Eguavoen was the team’s technical director when Nigeria won a silver medal at the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.
