Austrian Airlines announced it will resume flights to the Iranian capital, Tehran, starting Sunday.
This decision comes after a nearly five-month suspension, which was initiated in June following the outbreak of the conflict between Israel and Iran.

The carrier, which is part of the Lufthansa Group, stressed that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its top priority and that its security team is closely monitoring regional developments.
Lufthansa itself also plans to restart its Tehran flights, with the German airline tentatively aiming for a December resumption date.
