Since joining News Central at its early stages, Bernard has been instrumental in creating the station’s editorial identity, leading teams that have reported from conflict zones, political hotspots, international summits, and grassroots communities across the continent and beyond. From covering mass protests such as #EndSARS and #EndBadGovernance in Nigeria to hosting high-level interviews with African and global policymakers—including at the United Nations General Assembly and the Global Africa Business Initiative—Bernard consistently bridges local realities with global narratives. He was also instrumental in launching the station’s first international town hall series, connecting African diaspora voices to the issues back home. A realist with a deep passion for music and storytelling, Bernard continues to use journalism as a tool for accountability, representation, and transformation in Africa.
