Vincent Kompany has signed a two-year contract extension as Bayern Munich’s coach, prolonging his tenure until 2029, as confirmed by the Bundesliga champions on Tuesday.
Initially not Bayern’s preferred choice when he was brought in during the summer of 2024, the Belgian manager led the Bavarians to reclaim the German title from Bayer Leverkusen in his first season.

“It feels like I’ve been here a lot longer and that I know the club well,” former Manchester City captain Kompany said in a statement.
This season, the 39-year-old has Bayern performing exceptionally well with 11 consecutive victories in 11 matches, placing them at the top of both the Champions League and Bundesliga standings.
