Besiktas Secure Tammy Abraham on Season-Long Loan from AS Roma

Turkish giants Besiktas announced on Friday the signing of English striker Tammy Abraham on a season-long loan from AS Roma, with an option to make the deal permanent. The 27-year-old forward, who underwent a medical after arriving in Istanbul on Tuesday, will join Besiktas for the 2025-26 season on loan, with a 13-million-euro transfer option set to take effect from the 2026-27 campaign.

Besiktas revealed they will pay AS Roma a loan fee of 2 million euros for the initial season. Should certain conditions be met, the transfer will be made permanent with a fee of 13 million euros, payable in instalments until 2030.

The club had previously confirmed entering negotiations with AS Roma and Abraham, whose full name is Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham, who still has one year remaining on his contract with the Serie A side.

Abraham joined AS Roma from Chelsea in August 2021 on a five-year deal for a reported fee of 41 million euros (£35 million). He played a key role in Roma’s triumph in the 2022 Europa Conference League.

Most recently, the former England international spent the 2024-25 season on loan at AC Milan, where he scored 10 goals across all competitions.
