A late-night fire has gutted parts of the popular Terminus Market in Jos, the Plateau State capital, destroying goods and properties worth billions of naira.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire broke out shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, rapidly spreading through several shops and causing extensive damage.
Plateau State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Joyce Ramnap, alongside the General Manager of JMDB, Arch. Hart Bankat, and other government officials, conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the fire outbreak at Jos Main Market
As of the time of filing this report, the blaze had been brought under control. The exact cause of the inferno is yet to be determined by the authorities.
