Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto, Ahmed Aliyu, has been declared winner of the 2023 governorship polls.
Aliyu defeated Sa’idu Umar Ubandoma of the Peoples Democratic (PDP).
The returning officer of the state Professor Armiya’u Hamisu declared that the APC candidate polled 453,661 votes while the PDP candidate secured 404,632 votes.
