A cargo truck caught fire on Wednesday morning on the Ojota Bridge near the Old Toll Gate.
Officials confirmed that the incident did not lead to major traffic disruption.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said the fire started at about 8:24 a.m., prompting the immediate deployment of emergency responders.

LASTMA announced on its official X account that a containerised truck was engulfed in flames on top of the Ojota Bridge close to the Old Toll Gate, adding that the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority and other emergency services had been alerted and were already at the scene.
Firefighters are actively battling the blaze, while the LASTMA Rescue and Recovery Team is handling vehicle removal and traffic control.
Authorities also deployed a high-capacity tow truck to assist with clearing the affected vehicle.
LASTMA urged motorists to drive carefully and follow traffic instructions, stressing that traffic flow remains largely unaffected. The agency advised drivers to prioritise their safety and that of other road users.
The incident occurred a day after a high-capacity commercial bus went up in flames on the Third Mainland Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
