Chance The Rapper Performs in Ghana’s Native Language, Twi 

American musician Chance the rapper on the other hand while performing in New York rapped and sang about Ghanaian tradition and culture. The 29 year old star whose freestyle incorporated some native Ghanaian Twi words, mentioned the names of some popular towns in the country and talked about the freedom that Ghana gained through Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. 

The video of his performance has since garnered a lot of positive reactions from fans online. Recall that the Grammy winning star hosted the Black Star Line festival in Accra Ghana this year alongside close friend and collaborator, American rapper Vic Mensa.

Reportedly, about 50,000 people gathered for the week-long activity at Accra’s historic Black Star Square for the music festival headlined by Chance, Vic, Erykah Badu, T-Pain, Tobe Nwigwe, Asakaa Boys, and more. 

There’s a growing list of global stars who have visited Ghana, including the Black Panther: Wakanda Cast, American rapper Kendrick Lamar, Meek mill, Actress Gabrielle Union, Sza amongst others.
